Palm Tech has established one nursery in Andhra Pradesh and one in Karnataka. From an initial stock of 3, 00,000 seedlings maintained at two nurseries in 1993, plans have been prepared to import 3 million seeds in a phased manner with the ultimate aim of planting an aggregate area of 20,000 hectares in India by 2010.

Palm Tech had obtained permission from the Government of India and has imported 1.3 million Malaysian seeds of best and high yielding varieties. Government of Malaysia has granted permission for import of further seedlings in the next coming years.
